2016 GCSE Results

I am delighted to announce that the students of Davison CE High School for Girls have achieved fantastic results in their recent GCSE examinations.

75% of the cohort achieved 5 or more A*-C grades at GCSE.

68% of the cohort achieved A*-C GCSE grades in both English and Maths.

The Government’s recently introduced ‘Progress 8’ score of +0.38 is a very pleasing new record at Davison.  This accountability measure demonstrates the progress made between SATs examinations at the end of Year 6 and GCSEs at the end of Year 11.

45 students achieved 5 or more A*-A grades

I would like to congratulate our students on achieving such positive results.  It is wonderful to see that their hard work has paid such dividends.  I wish them all the very best of luck in their future studies.  My sincere thanks go to our staff, governors and the students’ families for all the help, support and encouragement they have given over many years.

Sarah Binney, Assistant Headteacher and Head of KS4 commented:  ‘I am really proud to see that the students have achieved such pleasing grades.  They have been an exceptional year group to work with and their results are fully deserved.’

A special mention must go to the following fourteen students who achieved 10 or more A*-A GCSE grades:  Georgia Ryan (12), Abigail Heath (12), Faye Pazon (11), Evie Pavin-Franks (11), Ayn Panesa (11), Lauren McIlrath (11), Emily Collings (11), Martha Caddick (11), Daina Brook (11), Hannah Walker (10), Nina Jarto (10), Lola Fijalkowska (10), Bethany Collard (10) and Caitlan Cassidy (10).
